Women’s History Month is over, but the impacts of women remain. The end of Women History Month concluded with Swank PR and Westside Cultural Alliance’s 2nd Annual WEMADE Honors Brunch at The Garfield Park Conservatory. The theme, EVOLVE, highlighted women who have surpassed expectations in their career fields.
Some of the women honored were Jasmine Browley of Essence Magazine, Sarah Galvin of Amazon, Essence Smith of Social Works, and Darcel Rockett of The Chicago Tribune. Two trailblazing women, Executive Director of “The Camp” Monica Brown and Bridgette Flaggs, Founder and Owner of Soule’ Chicago, received The MADE Maven Award celebrating their impact and dedication to entrepreneurship and their respective careers.
Surrounded by gorgeous pastel colors, luscious flowers, and the natural beauty The Garfield Park Conservatory possesses, EVOLVE showcased the meaning of excellence in not only women’s professional life, but in their personal life as well.
Over 100 guests graced the event and supported these phenomenal women during this memorable award ceremony. With music, smiles, awards in hand, and pink ribbon medals draped around their necks, these women continue to show the meaning of entrepreneurship living in full bloom.
