This year CloudBar at 360 Chicago hosted a Juneteenth marketplace. Vendors from the city showcased a variety of products from joggers to jewelry to juice. A few vendors included Holly Girl Lip Color, The Silverroom, and Jada Juice. Several organizations were present including My Block, My Hood, My City, 773 Dance Project, and I Am A Gentleman which received a portion of the event’s proceeds. In support of Juneteenth, community members from the Palatine Library unveiled their meticulously knitted “freedom quilt.”
This was the first event so we suspect more vendors will join in the future. This exciting situation, happening in one of the best places for tourists in Chicago with amazing views, is perfect for a bigger and more exciting event.
