Tank’s R&B Money tour made a stop at The Chicago Theatre last June partnering with Toyota to highlight emerging artists in the city. Chicago native and R&B singer, D. Lylez, not only opened the show, but was the winner of the “Next Up’ challenge series. If opening for the R&B legend Tank wasn’t enough, D.Lylez was taken under the wings of seasoned artists to gain insight on the industry and one-on-one mentoring.
There were special guest performances from Keri Hilson and Carl Thomas to keep the night of music flowing. CeCe, of BLK Chicago, had the chance to speak to D.Lylez before opening the show. He took time to share how he felt the love and support from fans got him this opportunity of a lifetime.
