Chicago’s food truck scene is heating up this summer with two major festivals offering a variety of culinary delights.
Chicago Food Truck Festival – South Loop
Returning for its 12th season, the Chicago Food Truck Festival will take place on June 28 and 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at 2300 S. Indiana Ave. This year’s theme, “Summer of the Chicago Style Hot Dog,” celebrates the city’s iconic dish. Attendees can enjoy a diverse lineup of gourmet food trucks, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. Seating is limited, so bringing lawn chairs is recommended.
Chi Food Truck Fest – Daley Plaza
Organized by the Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection, the Chi Food Truck Fest runs every Friday from May 16 through October 3, 2025, at Daley Plaza (50 W. Washington St.) from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Each week features a rotating selection of up to 12 licensed food trucks, offering a range of cuisines to downtown visitors and workers.
